In the festive season of giving and community, Consult-SK GmbH and its subsidiary, REexpect GmbH, have decided to support the Mindener Tafel e.V. at Christmas and also to be a regular sponsoring member. Anyone who has been following the local press at our location closely recently will know that there is an urgent need for action to ensure that the food bank can continue to supply food!

Why supporting the Mindener Tafel e.V. is important

The Mindener Tafel e.V. plays a vital role in our community by helping people in need to access food. Recently, however, they have been faced with a challenging situation: a significant decline in food donations. This decline is attributable to various factors.

Firstly, the general economic situation, exacerbated by the impact of the pandemic, has resulted in less surplus food in retail and food service outlets. Many stores and restaurants have optimized their order quantities to reduce waste, which is environmentally friendly, but also means that less is left for donation.

Secondly, the awareness and practice of dealing with food waste has improved. This leads to a more efficient use of resources, which is positive in itself, but also has the effect that less food is available for the food banks.

Our commitment as a supporting member

In response to these challenges, we have decided not only to make a one-off Christmas donation, but also to become a long-term supporting member. We firmly believe that it is our responsibility as part of the community to help those who need it most. Our regular contribution will help to fill the gap left by the decline in food donations.

We are also calling on other companies and individuals to join us in this important cause. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Together we can build strong support for the Mindener Tafel e.V. and ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.
